 I don't watch the anime much. So most of my impressions are taken from the manga.

"Candy Candy" manga forever stands as one of my favorite books. Although it's a comic seemingly for little kids, they story is very rich and deep. Even as I reread it now, I am still impressed by the story flow. The first time I read it was around 1990's. 

The story is famous for its open ending. Oh, it's killing me!

The Candy Candy Final Story doesn't do much in remedy that either, so I heard - I never read it. So, here... I present my versions of Candy Candy Final Story.  

 The biggest question: Who should Candy marry to?

After Candy's relationship with Terry was (seemingly) "over", the authors introduced two new potential love interests without creating new characters: Albert and Neal (Neil). The two had been around since the beginning. Their roles started small, sporadic and few. But somehow because of sequence of events, their characters "changed" and created new potential love stories. The idea is superb, I think. Especially the love-hate background in Candy-Neal's relationship that is quite the opposite of Candy-Albert's.

My favorite couple is ....drum rolls... Candy x Neil.

Yeap! I believe Candy's husband is Neal Leagan.  

 Why?  One needs to read my stories for detailed answers and arguments :)  But in short, click here for Neil, Albert, others :D
